Tearribles are the first in a line of innovative toys specially made to give dogs an outlet to exercise their prey instincts. Created in the form of bright little monsters, these plush toys contain special pocket compartments which house detachable limbs and tails. Tearribles aims to help owners stop dogs’ destructive behavior of tearing up beddings, foam, sheets, or other toys. They are produced by Florida-based Tearrible Instincts.

“An average plush toy usually meets its demise within minutes of getting into the paws of a dog,” explained the team behind Tearribles. “This play style ends up costing an average dog parent hundreds of dollars in toys every year.”

More than just the savings, Tearribles also aim to better a dog’s health and wellbeing. “Aside from allowing your dog to exercise their natural instincts, Tearribles help build your dog’s confidence, improve their disposition, and provide you and your dog with a fun way to build and strengthen your bond.”

Initially funded on Kickstarter, reaching 745% of the goal, Tearrible Instincts has since done millions in direct consumer sales. With its rapid success, the company now looks to expand its selection to include cat toys, beds, and new lines of dog toys, produced from its recently opened US-based facility.

“I finally have a toy that has my dog figured out,” exclaimed Dianne, owner of a once-destructive Labrador named Talia. “I love it that our Tearrible came with a quick start guide that says how to properly introduce the toy. Talia can’t stop playing with it and has since completely stopped tearing our furniture apart!”
