T his factory-built house won’t just save you money on your energy bills — it could sell so much power back to the grid that it earns £250 a year. At least it would according to the calculations of the architect Nico Rensch, the creator of Wunderhaus, which he claims is the UK’s first energy-positive modular house.
After three years of research and development, a prototype of the house is available to view in Battle, East Sussex. Launched to coincide with the Cop26 climate conference in Glasgow, eco-conscious property developers and self-builders will be able to buy an intellectual property (IP) package for the house from £320,000.
